KandyPens SkyCloud Vaporizer Review

KandyPens SkyCloud Review

The KandyPens SkyCloud packs a pretty good punch for its size and if you plan to use with concentrates then you will not be disappointed! I was not much a fan of the herb/flower attachment but that is more due to personal bias than flaws in the device.  Kits start at just $99.

Today I am taking a look at the SkyCloud 3-n-1 vape pen by KandyPens.  The pen is a multi-use device with multiple atomizers and colors allowing you to completely customize your experience.

As you can see the device comes with 3 different atomizers (4 if you also get the glass atomizer) for you to use.

Are You a Concentrate Fan?  The glass atomizer is a must buy but I will get into that more below.

  • Pen base with battery
  • Liquid atomizer
  • Herb atomizer
  • Concentrate atomizer
  • Glass concentrate atomizer
  • Cleaning tool
  • Application tool
  • USB charging cord and adapter

I wanted to start with this attachment because it was by far my favorite.  Now although I get a decent size hit from the normal concentrate attachment, the glass attachment has a larger mouthpiece for increased airflow.  This lets you gets some really good hits! The only reason that I will switch back to the straight concentrate atomizer is for situations where I think the glass could break.  Otherwise, this is my go to atomizer.

Pros

  • Larger mouthpiece for increased airflow
  • Does not take alot of material to deliver decent hit
  • Very nice clouds delivered and with consistent pulls each time

Cons

  • Glass is fragile and can break. (Not much you can do here outside of just taking care of your device.)
  • Glass will also get cloudy after use. (But there is a cleaning tool included so very easy to take care of.)

*Tips – Store device upright after use to prevent leaks

The concentrate atomizer was my second favorite atomizer.  Now I am a bit biased because I tend to always gravitate towards concentrate vapes.  This is mainly because I don’t typically have to worry about leaks as long as I allow the material to solidify before moving after a session.  That and the dispensary that I go to usually has a better selection of concentrates than liquids.

This pretty much delivered the same experience as the glass atomizer without the larger mouthpiece.  This is better for more discrete situations.

Pros

  • Decent clouds produced from slow, steady draws
  • Can use a variety of concentrates (wax, shatter, crumble, etc.)
  • Discrete

Cons

  • Smaller mouthpiece when compared to the glass atomizer but still delivers.

This is the only atomizer I have yet to test.  When I get my hands on some liquids to use I’ll update this area but based on how well this device performed with the concentrates I’m not too worried.

Last but not least we have the herb atomizer. I tested mine with some Durban Poison that I picked up yesterday.  After opening up the chamber to load I saw it was a bit smaller than I anticipated. I made sure not to load too much in then put the cap back on.

I was able to get a few smaller, flavorful hits but nothing like I was able to get with the concentrate adapter.  I’m not much of a fan of herb pens for my reasons mention above and have a bias here so take my opinion with a grain of salt.  It gets the job done, however I much more prefer the concentrate atomizer.

Pros

  • Allows you to load actual herb/flower
  • Very discrete way to get a few hits on the run

Cons

  • Smaller hits due to smaller chamber
  • Herb/flower slightly burns a bit by heating element

KandyPens SkyCloud Summary

unboxing-484x300

I was pleasantly surprised by the SkyCloud.  Previously I have had a cheap knock off that I got from a dispensary (I think for maybe $60 or $80 bucks) and it had a number of issues very quickly. The atomizer would continue to disconnect from the device in my pocket and the charger went out twice in my first 2 weeks.

This feels like a much sturdier device and also has a lifetime warranty on the battery.  Atomizers are not included in the warranty but those will go out with normal wear and tear so this does not surprise me.

The SkyCloud is a very good device and will by my vape of choice when I am on the go.  Find more about KandyPens below and make sure to get the glass atomizer with your purchase!
