Kingpen & Stealth (DabKits) Review

Dab Kits Kingpin

***Summary For Those Who Dont Want To Read***

The Kingpen is not just a pretty face on the vape scene, but rather a device that delivers consistent hits from a sturdy and compact device. I was not much a fan of the herb/flower attachment, but I never am so that came at no surprise to me. I stuck to wax while using and was not disappointed! The Kingpen can be yours for just $99.

I decided to try out two pens from the crew over at Dab Kits, I chose The Stealth and The Kingpen. They were gracious enough to offer their other pen The Smuggler as well but these two were the ones that piqued my interest the most.

Before We Move Forward

Before I even get into how the vape pens work, I want to comment on their prompt response time and customer service. I mentioned before that most pens on the market are very similar and the main thing that separates them are the warranty and customer service. They were always there to help me get my questions answered and my product arrived within 2 days. So prior to even trying the product Dab Kits passed a very important test in my book!

The Kingpen

I solved the cube after taking a few draws from the Kingpen

The bulk of my review is going to focus on the Kingpen; it was my favorite of the two pens and the one that I’ve been using more frequently. The Kingpen vaporizer is actually not a pen at all, rather a horizontal battery with a mouthpiece. It is a very interesting and different take on most of the models that Ive come across and is the main reason I wanted to give this a try.

Concentrate Of Choice

What is left of my wax. This particular concentrate is a bit difficult to load so if possible stick to liquids or shatter

TheDenver Kush Clubwhich is my dispensary of choice runs a Wax Wednesday special; a special which I took advantage of to stock up on wax for this review. Ipicked up a 2 grams of S.S.S.D.H (Super Silver Sour Diesel Haze. This is a sativa strain which is pretty much all I get. I find that I can get very energetic and productive high from Sativas in the right doses. However this particular concentrate does not hold together too well, so I normally have to apply pressure and work it into a small ball prior to adding it to the heating chamber with the provided filling tool.

Heating Element

The Kingpen uses a traditional coil/wick heating element so it is very important to place your wax directly on the coil and not to overload it. This device produces pretty good hits. The draw is consistent and its always kind of cool to see the vapors build in the glass mouthpiece as you are pulling.

The one thing that was a bit of an irritation was the the location of the button. It wasnt that it was difficult to press, however if you have any type of issues with handcraps or the like then this probably would not be the best vape pen for you.

Outside of that I have no issues at all with the device performance. Im going to be honest here, the reason you would buy this device is because of the look. It is very functional and gets the job done with wax but the clear selling point in my opinion is how cool this thing looks! So for showmanship and quality alone I recommend this vape if you are in the market.

The Kingpen kit includes:

  • 1 Kingpen unit
  • 1 rechargeable 18350 battery
  • 1 wall charger
  • 1 glass dome with a plastic mouthpiece
  • 1 wax atomizer
  • 1 dry herb atomizer
  • 1 stainless steel chamber
  • 1 atomizer base
  • 1 dab tool
  • 1 user manual

The Stealth

Now the Stealth unlike the KingPen is an actual vape pen. The Stealth, like its name is very sleek in design and is only slightly larger than a traditional pen. Where the Stealth stands out from the Kingpen is the variable voltage feature which allows you to control the temperature while vaping.

This feature comes in handy for any of you that like more control over your vaping session. I myself typically just leave it on the middle setting (which I think is 3.7 volts) which gets the job done for me. All in all, the Stealth is a good variable-voltage vape pen. I used this as my primary vape for about a week to test and was easily able to conceal the pen both at work and a wedding that I attended.

Dabkits have not only good pens but also a good follow up process. Matt Cheatle, the co-founder of Dab Kits was very responsive and helpful in providing additional information in regards to the pens he sent over.

  • The Stealth is a traditional vape pen with a variable voltage feature. Good for on the go and the pen shape makes it virtuality indistinguishable from other ecigs while in use.
  • The Kingpen is by far my favorite pen of the two! Honestly both of the pens perform about the same, it is the look and design of this vape that makes it stand out.

Would I Buy?

If you are in the market for an upscale vaporizer then the Kingpen is for you. Unlike most other pens that look cheaply made, this is a vaporizer that you will enjoy showing off to friends. I always get comments on it in public and just enjoy using it.

Let me know what you think? Have you tried either to of these vaporizers? If so let me hear about your experience in the comments!
